What documents do I need?
Sri Lankans need their NIC and a valid driving licence. Visitors need a passport and an International Driving Permit (or a Sri Lankan temporary licence).
Is there a security deposit?
Yes — a refundable deposit is taken for self-drive rentals and returned when the car comes back in the same condition.
What if I drive more than 100 km a day?
Extra kilometres are charged at a small per-km rate depending on the car. Ask us about mileage packages for long trips.
